Tiramisu cake

Our Tiramisu Cake is a velvety blend of espresso-soaked Savoyard cookies, layered with delicately sweetened beaten eggs and mascarpone cheese and topped with a dusting of cocoa powder. Its name, tirami sù, means "pick me up," perhaps a reference to the stimulating effects of the caffeine in the recipe's espresso and chocolate.

The Tiramisu Cake is a velvety blend of espresso-soaked Savoyard biscuits, layered with delicately sweetened beaten eggs, mascarpone cheese, and topped with cocoa powder. Its name, tirami sù, means "lift me up", referring to the stimulating effects of caffeine in coffee and chocolate.

Tiramisu cake, although of relatively recent origin, is one of Italy's most iconic desserts and invariably appears at the top of internet searches for the most popular Italian desserts. The word has made its way into at least 23 languages, and the dessert is served in restaurants around the world. Every year there is a Guinness World Record event for the largest tiramisù in the world. In the movie Sleepless in Seattle, from 1993, the famous Tom Hanks refers to tiramisu as something mysterious that women seem to like! This reference sparked a huge interest in the dessert in the States. Tiramisù has become so popular that in 2017 it even received an international culinary holiday: World Tiramisu Day, celebrated on March 21, the first day of spring, as a tribute to the restorative, renewing properties of the dessert.
